Why your Clickworker dashboard is empty
You sign up for Clickworker, log in to your dashboard... and it is empty. Not a single task. Since this happens a lot, the first thing almost everyone thinks is that there is simply no work for them.
In most cases that is not it: a step almost nobody explains is missing, and until you take it, your dashboard will stay empty no matter how often you log in. 1. You are not qualified for the active projects: either because you have not taken the relevant assessments, or because your score fell below the minimum that project requires.

And here is the key: of those three reasons, the first two you can fix yourself, and they are the ones most likely affecting you.
Main reason: assessments unlock tasks
The number one reason a dashboard is empty, and the one the fewest people understand, is assessments.
On Clickworker, tasks are not open to everyone. Each type of task has an assessment behind it, and until you pass it, those tasks simply do not exist for you. So if your dashboard is empty, the first thing to do is go to the assessments section and see which ones you have available. Every one you pass unlocks an entire category of work you could not see before.
An example of what they are like, so they do not catch you off guard: one of the most common is the writing assessment. First they give you sentences with several options and you have to pick the right one, and a percentage of your correct answers is calculated, which cannot fall below a minimum. If you clear it, you move on to the second part, which is writing a text on a specific topic following very specific instructions.
An important warning: some assessments can be retaken after a while, but others can only be done once, so do not rush them.
The detail almost nobody knows: your score moves
A huge number of people are unaware of this, and it explains why some users see tasks disappear that they used to have.
Your score on an assessment does not stay fixed forever: it changes depending on how well you do the tasks in that category. When you submit work, a reviewer checks it, and that result affects your percentage. If you do things well, your percentage goes up and new work or assessments you did not have access to before can unlock. But it works the same way in the other direction: if the reviewer is unhappy with several tasks in a row, your percentage drops, and it can drop far enough that even those tasks stop being available to you.
This completely changes how you should approach the platform: it is not about doing lots of tasks fast, it is about doing them well. Every task you submit is building or destroying your access to future work. If you rush to squeeze out a few extra cents, what you are really doing is closing doors without realizing it.
Second reason: a half-finished profile
This is the easiest one to fix. Clickworker itself explicitly recommends it: complete your profile as much as you can.
There is a very concrete reason: some projects are only offered to specific groups, such as native speakers of a language, people with knowledge of a particular industry, or residents of a specific area. If your profile does not say you are a native Spanish speaker, the project looking for native Spanish speakers will not show up for you, and you will never find out it existed.
What to fill in on your profile
Give it some time and add: languages and your level in each, education, industries where you have experience, and any particular knowledge. Every piece of data you fill in is another door that opens, and it is probably the best-spent time on the whole platform.
The trick almost nobody uses: use both the app and the browser
The platform itself says this in its official answer and yet almost nobody applies it: the mobile app and the browser version offer different types of projects. They are not the same thing with two different looks: some jobs are only in one and some are only in the other.
Clickworker recommends visiting both regularly. If you only log in from your phone, or only from your computer, you are missing half the catalog without knowing it: your desktop dashboard may be empty while there are tasks waiting for you in the app, or the other way around. Just install the app and get used to checking both: five minutes of work to double what you see.
The real wait (and the mistake that stretches it)
There is a part that really is a matter of patience. Users with years on the platform report that when they signed up, their dashboard stayed practically empty for almost two months before assessments started to appear. So if you have been at it for a week and see nothing, it is not necessarily that something is wrong: it may just not be your turn yet.
The mistake that leaves you stuck: ignoring the first opportunities
When the first opportunities finally start to appear, you have to complete them. If you ignore the first ones they offer you, the following ones stop showing up as easily: the system has been watching you from the start, and if an assessment arrives and you leave it sitting because it paid little or you did not feel like it, you are telling the platform you are not active, and that will give you fewer opportunities later.
The rule is simple: at the beginning, accept everything they offer you, even if it pays little. The first jobs are not about the money, they are about opening the tap.

And the honest part, because not everything gets fixed with tricks. Some factors do not depend on you: your country and language weigh a lot, because some projects simply are not offered in certain areas, and there are periods with less volume of work than others for no clear reason.
I will also tell you what I think of the platform overall: Clickworker is legitimate and it pays, it has been running since 2005 and has millions of registered users. But the rates are modest, and there are complaints about being disqualified mid-task and about jobs that take quite a bit of time for what they pay.
